Looking at Colors

© Charles E. Corry 1962, 1999

White is the essence of All,

The Nirvana of sight.

Black is an emptiness,

Within is Nothingness.

Red is a brilliant orb in the sky,

The cataclysm of fleeting passion.

Yellow is an indecisive, sick color,

The imagined line 'tween Yin and Yang.

Blue is the soft glow of peace,

Reasons opposition to red.

The garbled hues between?

These are the shades through which

Human larvae mostly crawl.
